If you're as interested in volcanoes as I am you might find this post interesting. It doesn't look like the author is posting any longer and most of the links in the blog seem broken now but it's still an interesting read with some insight into Kilauea that's in more layman's terms than I've read elsewhere. I'm not sure where the author got their information but I'd say it's reasonably accurate.
